On Tuesday I went to the cross country and I came 5th. I ran fast because I had been doing it at home and my little dog did it too. That is why I am fast but not too fast for the cross country. It was alright for me in the big cross country but it was wet. That is why I came 5th. I passed people and I almost came 2nd but I wanted to come 1st. I did not but I tried my best to win the cross country. I was so cool. I loved the other people that were running.

Last Tuesday we did cross country on the big field. I thought when we were doing our warm up that I was going to win so I was excited, but I didn’t. During the race I felt sweaty because I was tired. I felt nervous too. After the race I felt starving because I ran out of energy and I was thirsty. My teacher said “Well done”. I was proud of myself.

I went to the school race. I went past Emily and I was just about at the finish line and zoom, I went past Celeste then Celeste went past me.

Last Tuesday it was Cross Country Day. When we started I was excited because I thought I was going to win. When I got to the third cone I was puffed because I ran out of energy. When we were finished I came seventh. When we went to sit down I was sweaty because my skin was really hot and I thought I was going to melt.

Year 2 Soccer Tournament

Today at 1st break we played Room 14 in the Year 2 school tournament. It was great fun, all pretty friendly and each class got one goal.

Leaf Monsters

The leaf monster was lazy because it was sleepy.
The leaf monster was smelly because it fell into a stinky pond.
The leaf monster was strong because it eats a lot of vegetables.

The leaf monster was grouchy because last night he had a late night at the shop.
The leaf monster was creepy because he just wanted to do his job.
The leaf monster was crazy because he eats too much junk food.

The leaf monster is fat because he ate 10 brocolli and 9 chickens.
He is ugly because he has one eye and a up and down mouth.
The leaf monster is mean because he picked up a person and squashed them.

Dancha

Autumn is showing by the amount of leaves fallen. We made some into fun leaf monsters. They keep changing as they dry.

Welcome to The Life Of a Year 2 classroom

Hello BlogWorld.

Last week our class of 21 6 years olds gathered around the IWB to view some other Year 2 blogs. We loved seeing what other children are doing in their classes and school and we would love to share our learning too. We brainstormed a big list of what we could share and we are itching to go.
